Located inside of Ames Hall, this market features Amazon's Just-Walk-Out (JWO) technology. The Ames JWO Market aims to provide convenience and consistent access to food on the Mount Vernon Campus.

How to Access the Space & Pay

Depending on your desired payment method, there are specific instructions to follow so you can gain entry into the cashierless market.

GWorld Card (Dining Dollars or Campus Cash) Instructions

1. Download the GET app.
2. Select ‘George Washington University SSO’ from the list of institutions.
3. Login with your GW credentials.
4. Once logged in, you should see your GWorld photo and name. Slightly below that, you will find a ‘Scan Card’ option. TIP: If you do not see the ‘Scan Card’ option, go to 'Settings' and select 'Log Out.' Then return to the above instructions starting at step 2.
5. Select ‘Scan Card’ and hold your mobile device hovering above the Just-Walk-Out scanner, with the barcode facing down.
6. The JWO Market gate will then open for you to enter.
7. Grab the items you would like to purchase, and then simply walk out.
8. Your GWorld Card will be automatically charged for the items selected and a digital receipt will be sent to your email shortly afterwards.

Credit/Debit Card Instructions

1. Tap your payment card on the card reader (on the left of the Just-Walk-Out scanner).
2. The JWO Market gate will then open for you to enter.
3. Grab the items you would like to purchase, and then simply walk out.
4. Your payment card will be automatically charged for the items selected.
