Future Initiatives

GW Dining is continuing to grow and transform. Based on student feedback, we have announced the following as future initiatives to be implemented across campus:


Chick-Fil-A & Panda Express – Coming Soon 

More national chains are making their way to the Foggy Bottom campus!

Chick-Fil-A will be located in Mitchell Hall, while Panda Express will take over the old Beefsteak location on I St. Once opened, students will be able to utilize Meal Plan funds to purchase a variety of the famous food offerings.


Pelham Refresh & Just-Walk-Out Market – Fall '24

Dining on the Mount Vernon Campus is getting a major 'face-lift.'

Beginning Summer '24, the all-you-care-to-eat dining hall, Pelham Commons in West Hall, will be undergoing construction to match the visual appeal and extended offerings that are already available on the Foggy Bottom campus.

A Just-Walk-Out (JWO) Market will also be introduced to Mount Vernon. This fully-digital model will allow students to access food 24 hours a day/7 days a week.


OZZI Reusable Containers  – Fall '24 

As GW Dining continues to grow, so must our sustainability efforts.

This initiative was spearheaded by the GW Dining Student Advisory Panel, as student advocates expressed the a desire for a reusable option, in addition to the fully compostable to-go containers that are already being used across campus.

Students will be able to pick up these reusable containers at any of our three all-you-care-to-eat dining halls, pay a $5 deposit, and simply fill the container with food. Then when they are finished, they can bring the container back and get the $5 charge refunded back to their card.
