A new Indian food vendor is opening in the University Student Center after months of construction.
Chaat House is opening inside the first floor H Street entrance to the student center on Monday, with regular hours from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday and 12 to 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, according to a GW Dining Instagram post. Community members were able to “taste test” the vendor on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of this past week from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 5 to 8 p.m.
Chaat House offers wraps, bowls and snacks “inspired by the regional flavors of India,” with curries, spices and chutneys taking “center stage,” according to a GW Dining release. The release states that the vendor offers three meal deals for GWorld card holders, including a rice bowl, salad bowl and six-piece samosa chaat deal.
“We make real food that’s full of flavor — serious flavor,” the release states. “A little spice, a touch of heat and a lot of love give flavor to everything we do.”
