The George Washington University's open dining plan was designed with our student's diverse and nutritious food preferences in mind, affording them the flexibility and freedom to enjoy dining in a way that best meets their individual needs. We’ve opened the city up to our students by partnering with more than 105 dining and grocery vendors who accept Dining Cash. You simply pay for your food purchases with a swipe of your GWorld card.
As a part of our dining program GW Dining offer a series of programs and events throughout the school year that offer students an oppurtunity to make the most of their meal plan and learn a few things along the way. GW Dining runs Supermarket Sundays throughout the semester to encourage students to grocery shop and meal prep. When you spend $40 on meal prep groceries, get $10 back in GWorld Dining Cash.

GW Dining has partnered with the Residence Hall Assoication to bring you cooking classes. The goal of these classes to teach and encourage students to cook throughout their college expierence.

GW Dining partners with GWorld Dining partners along with other restaurants in the area to bring pop-up shop events. These events are a great way to explore GWorld dining partners that are typically not directly on campus. In addition, we partner with other local vendors to bring more diverse and plentiful dining options to campus.

The Safeway Express offers shuttle rides directly to the Georgetown Safeway from the Mount Vernon Campus. The days and times for the shuttle are as follows:
Wednesdays: 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm
Saturdays: 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm
Sundays: 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm

SAGE is our dining partner that manages Pelham Commons and Higher Grounds Cafe on the Mount Vernon Campus. The SAGE Secret Shopper program provides GW Dining insight and feedback about the food, service, overall dining expierence on the Mount Vernon Campus.
In our efforts to continously enhance the dining expierence for all students, GW Dining encourages all students to participate in this program. Every 5 times you fill out the survey you will recieve a free lunch or dinner at Pelham Commons.
The Sage Secret Shopper program will be temporarily suspended for the Spring 2021 semester.
The Bring Your Own Silverware Program was developed in partnership with Campaign GW, an organization that provides students with the opportunity to have a say in campus development and guide outreach for sustainable living.
The BYOS program encourages students to bring their own reusable utensils when dining at Pelham Commons and The Grill. This rewards card offers students a free lunch or dinner after 15 BYOS meals. Head over to Pelham Commons with your reusable silverware to play your part in cultivating a greener campus!
